Paw Pad Support for Dogs with Essential Oils

As we move into our winter months, some of you may need some paws support.

Today I wanted to share my DIY doTERRA Essential Oil option with you.

This is a great mix to use on cracked pads year-round or for general winter protection.

My go-to oils for this are Sandalwood, Frankincense, and Myrrh, put into a carrier oil. I generally use fractionated coconut oil when I mix up recipes for my dogs.

To make up this mix, I take a 10ml roller bottle and add 5 drops each of oils and then top off with the carrier.

To apply, I roll the oil into the palm of my hand, then apply to my dog's pads.

I always like to apply oils in my hands first, so that I do not potentially contaminate my oil bottle, cause who knows what the dog has walked through.

I personally would apply this mix to the pads 2 times per day as needed.
