Meet Camarin

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up riding horses and playing with chickens as a kid, I knew I would work with animals as an adult.

I’ve been honored to work with them In many different ways over the past 18 years.

I spent 13 years at San Diego Humane Society. While there I worked my way from animal caregiver to LT Humane Officer.

One of my favorite parts of working with shelter animals is helping them build their confidence and then to watch them come out of their shell.

I owned and operated my own pet sitting business for 5 years until March 2020 and sadly COVID-19 shut our doors. We provided excellent care and dog walking services to clients, along with some training assistance.

I now work at Petco Love Lost, the non-profit side of Petco that helps to reunite lost pets with their owners.

We also work with shelters across the country to integrate their software with our patented facial recognition technology for dogs and cats to help lost pets get home.

I currently sit on the board for a livestock micro sanctuary that primarily focuses on cows. We affectionately call them moo puppies. They are so much fun to get kisses from.  I love watching their personalities come out as they get settled into their forever home.

I am so thrilled to be slowly building a small hobby farm here in Ramona CA.  I share my funny farm with my amazing and animal-loving husband Joe.

We are owned by Birdy an 11-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, Bacon a 2-year-old Doberman, Curry a 13-year-old Red Tabby cat, and our mini pigs Rooster and Chicken. And yes, the pigs live in the house full time!
