DIY Doggie Toothpaste - Quick Recipe

Often times our dogs are in need of teeth cleaning…when normal bone chewing isn’t enough, and you can't always resort to the OTC dog toothpaste.

Today I want to share what I consider a healthier option for dog toothpaste.

But first, it is important to note, NEVER use human toothpaste with your dogs, not even doTERRAs. There are ingredients that are harmful to pets, and we never want to take a chance, ever.

There are many recipes to make your own doggie toothpaste out there, but today I want to share with you my Quick Doggie Toothpaste Recipe.

My oils of choice for oral health for dogs include Myrrh, Peppermint, or Frankincense. It is important to note that peppermint can be a warm oil, that is why we always dilute.

How To Make DIY Doggie Toothpaste with Essential Oils:

Items you will need will include a gauze pad (which is my choice), or you can use a toothbrush.

I prefer to use unrefined coconut oil (the hard stuff), I put this on my gauze pad, then add my oil or oils of choice.

Then it is as simple as rubbing down the teeth and gums.

You may find, when this is done on a regular basis, that the teeth will be pearly white.
