Bree has been active with her dogs since 1992. She started training in obedience, carting, herding and agility with her two Rottweilers and was soon assisting for Common Sense Dog Training. In 1996 Bree purchased her first Jack Russell Terrier and became involved in Jack Russell Terrier Trials. From that time until present she has been competing in a variety of sports with her JRT's including conformation, go-to-ground, racing, lure coursing, jumpers, and agility, as well as hunting in the field.
In late 2004 Bree met Audrey Ferrel of Best Behavior Dog Training, and it was fast friends from the get go. Bree was soon assisting for BBDT, and shortly there after was instructing the obedience and foundation agility classes. She is very grateful to Audrey for all the knowledge and assistance she has given her with the start of Pawsitive Principles, without Audrey, Bree's dream may have never been a reality.
Along with competition with her own dogs, Bree has also been highly active in Jack Russell Rescue for sixteen years, and before that, Rottie Rescue for five years. She was a State Representative for the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA), is a Senior Russell Rescue Inc. Representative working as the Behavioral and Training contact for the West Coast, as well as being the past President and past Webmaster for the South Coast Jack Russell Terrier Club. She also sat on the JRTCA National Representatives Committee for 3 years.
As a breeder, Bree currently is owned by three JRT's, two Border Collies and one Rottweiler. Her kennel "Breezy Meadows" is registered with the JRTCA.
Bree is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and has been married for 16 years, she has two sons ages 9 and 11. Her college education is in Child Development and Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Education.
